Article: "Why I Am an Abortion Doctor"

Take the time to read this quite disturbing article: 'I can take a woman, in the biggest trouble she has ever experienced in her life, and by performing a five-minute operation, in comfort and dignity, I can give her back her life'

Honestly, I don't think I need to take the time to read the entire article after reading that excerpt. That doc can have a great time trying to convince themself as well as anyone else that they are a humanitarian - improving the quality of life for pregnant women everywhere.

I'm too busy living in the real world....

What a disturbing article... It's incredible how some people justify this stuff. Let's take away any immediate consequence, but not deal with the long-term effects.

Even the anecdote that the doctor offers in the beginning of the article is completely unjustified.

It seems that he is attempting to produce pity from the reader for this woman who tried to perform an illegal abortion on herself, resulting in death. This kind of situation is very common in less-developed countries where abortion is illegal or socially unacceptable, and prochoice-ers frequently try to use it as a reason to support legalized abortion. To me, this is so ironic, because if the woman would just own up to her responsibility to carry a child full-term, then this never would have happened.

-End of rant- :)

thanks for your rant julia! it always amazes me how we as sinners try to wiggle around our sin and justify it.
