Our band leading students in worship at a retreat. Good stuff.

Absolutely hilarious!

I love the adult cartoon King of the Hill. If you know what I'm talking about, you MUST listen to this prank call that some genious put together involving some Hank Hill snippets and a Scottish-man.

O-Yeah!

Tomorrow our student ministry will be joining our friends to the north (612 Students) in a little getaway to Orlando and our friends at Calvary South Orlando (Momentum Students). We have fun evening planned for Thursday as our band will lead worship, Pastor Charles Nestor will bring it and us youth pastors will bring some of our crazy antics. This continues our Summer Tour. Next week we will have a worship evening and the following week we will go out on the town. Needless to say, an action packed summer.

What up with the chick clothes?

We were walking through the mall today when Roman said "Daddy, girls!" He was pointing to the Ralph Lauren window. Why are dudes wearing chick looking clothes these days? I have a problem with gender-bending and the clothes thing just creeps me out.

Firsts: Fishing

We took the boys fishing for the first time the other day. Roman is a natural, JJ on the other hand could care less (of course he's only 23 months!). We didn't catch anything but at least we got them on the water! We got Roman one of those launching-fishing pole guns. It's pretty slick.

Firsts: Fathers Day

Today we celebrated my first Fathers Day. We went to my parents house for lunch and swimming. Jadon forced us all out of the pool with a little afternoon surprise (hint: it's brown and it stinks). Roman made me a cool wooden car with a card. Great stuff!

Dad

My father is the greatest man I have ever known. He has always been there for me, whether it was driving hours out of the way to come watch me play high school basketball or talking about the current state of American politics. My Dad is a man of integrity, wisdom and sincerity. Dad I love you and I am forever grateful to you.

Firsts: Taco Bell

Yesterday we broke the boys into the fast food world. We treated them to their first Taco Bell, bean burritos and chicken soft tacos.

Google, your freakin' me out!

If you didn't know by now Google controls the world. Yesterday they released their street view application for Palm Beach County and low and behold you can zoom right in on our house. Creepy cool.

Yawn....

Not impressed enough with the new iPhone to upgrade. I will finish out the life of my 1st generation iPhone and wait for the 3rd gen Phone. Mean while, I am excited for the iPhone 2.0. Some cool new things to come indeed.

Firsts: Sickness

This morning I went in to get Jadon and Roman out of bed and I noticed Roman had the sniffles and Jadon was sneezing. The first words from Roman were "Daddy, I have boogers!". Imagine hearing this with a slight Russian accent.

The BEST: Ice Cream

Chocolate Trinity Ice Cream. Have you had it yet? If not, run out to Publix and get some (it's their house brand). Seriously, it will kick your butt!

How many men does it take...

Today while driving to meet our friends at the pool I saw this scene and instantly thought "blog worthy". One little road patch 6 men. Nice use of tax payer money!!! We saw the same guys about 2 hours later all sitting in a truck eating lunch, of course it was the A/C.

Summer Tour '08

Our student ministry doesnt have a normal summer schedule as many ministries do. We organize something called the Summer Tour which consists of taking our students to a different location each week for the purpose of community building. This year we are partnering with my boys Billy and Phil. Should be a great time! To find out more about the Summer Tour go HERE. Props to Phil for the logo design!
