In my travels round the world I have always been surprised that no matter where I go people recognize and know me, from Europe, Australia and India to the Philippines and the Zulu Nation in South Africa. This got me thinking... I realized that while two people from two entirely different countries and backgrounds may seem to have nothing in common, the only thing they might have in common is me... So I decided to start a network where people from across the world might come together and get a conversation started over me. Where it will lead, I don't know but the world would be a better place if everyone talked a little more to each other...

So here is HoffSpace. There are videos and photos of the adventures of my life (THAT NO ONE ELSE GETS TO SEE) and also from the lives of other members. Bigfoot found? Judge for yourself.

If you have been reading Life & Times for a while you know I have a liking for Bigfoot. Well, it came out this week that a group men from Georgia found a dead Sasquatch in the woods. They took the corpse and put it on ice in a broken down freezer and eventually contacted Bigfoot guru Tom Biscardi to get some help. Sick slides

Today we took the boys to this park that we frequent. It has the best slides ever, they are very much capable of entertaining adults as well as kiddos. Here is Roman next to one of them.

Penny loves that show "So You Think You Can Dance". This guy was one of the final 20 contestants and then he bailed. I never knew a human could do this with his body. YOU MUST WATCH IT!

Coldplay

For the record I love Coldplay's latest release. It's different than X&Y and I enjoy the addition of strings to some of the songs. I'm not a musician but music is important to me and this is good music. My fav song on the album is 42. Eerie and different with a nice surprise.

I love the adult cartoon King of the Hill. If you know what I'm talking about, you MUST listen to this prank call that some genious put together involving some Hank Hill snippets and a Scottish-man.

What up with the chick clothes?

We were walking through the mall today when Roman said "Daddy, girls!" He was pointing to the Ralph Lauren window. Why are dudes wearing chick looking clothes these days? I have a problem with gender-bending and the clothes thing just creeps me out.

Google, your freakin' me out!

If you didn't know by now Google controls the world. Yesterday they released their street view application for Palm Beach County and low and behold you can zoom right in on our house. Creepy cool.

How many men does it take...

Today while driving to meet our friends at the pool I saw this scene and instantly thought "blog worthy". One little road patch 6 men. Nice use of tax payer money!!! We saw the same guys about 2 hours later all sitting in a truck eating lunch, of course it was the A/C.

Anyone notice?

TV is just awful right now! NBC is showing re-runs of Dateline and every reality show in their repertoire. The only show I'm holding out for now is LOST. 2 hour season finale Thursday. No Office, 30 Rock, Smallville or any other show that would be interesting.

How do you watch your movies?

Today Netflix just changed the way you and I will watch our movies at home. Home theatre all began for me in 1984 with a Montgomary Ward VCR. My family used that machine until 1996. I purchased my first DVD player in 2000 and the first DVD purchased was "The Matrix". We then used our PS2 as our entertainment center. 2 years ago we went to the Mac Mini as our preferred media center. We added a Miglia HD converter, an external hard drive to store our torrented movies/tv shows. Today will mark another change. Roku introduced the new Netflix Player which will allow you to view 10,000 movies and tv shows from a database. This will grow weekly and eventually will be HD and is easily upgradable (via firmware). Read more here. Sign up for Netflix here.

Starfield concert tragedy

Last night in British Columbia 40 people were injured when the floor of a church collapsed during a Starfield concert. Kinda scary huh? One thing we have going for us here in South Florida, NO BASEMENTS! I hope and pray everyone is ok. Word is there were no major injuries. Read more HERE.

The Florida Legislature is considering a specialty plate with a design that includes a Christian cross, a stained-glass window and the words "I Believe". I will not buy this plate. Will you other Florida peeps? Why? Good answers only!

Michael Jordan just bought 2 lots in a community a couple of miles from our house. I wonder if I will ever bump into him. What would I say? What would you say?
